- 1837
- Wholesale yarn store ‘Kuno-Ya” was founded in Tokyo, became a certified merchant in business with government.
- 1913
- Building cord manufacturing factory in Shinagawa, Tokyo.
- 1935
- A partnership corporation “Kikuchi Shoten” was founded and built new factory in Yukigaya, Tokyo.
- 1947
- Opened new factory in Joetsu, Niigata.
- 1950
- “Kikuchi Kogyo Co., Ltd” was established by company reorganization.
- 1955
- Opened new factory in Yoshida, Shizuoka and closed all other factories.
- 1962
- Narrow fabric mass production started by introduction of needle weaving loom.
- 1967
- Seatbelt webbing production started.
- 1970
- Factory was certified with Japan Industrial Standard.
- 1971
- Integrated seatbelt webbing production started by introduction of continuous dyeing machine.
- 1973
- Wastewater treatment facility initiated the process.
- 1985
- Additional new dyeing machine was installed.
- 1986
- Process efficiency was improved by introduction of new type weaving loom.
- 1991
- Developed the world's first spiral running dyeing machine.
- 1993
- Transferred company head office from Tokyo to Shizuoka.
- 1996
- Established “Kikuchi Narrow Fabric (Thailand)” and started production of seatbelt webbing.
- 2001
- Obtained ISO9001 certificate for seatbelt webbing production.
- 2007
- Obtained performance authorization for seatbelt webbing from Chrysler
- 2009
- Obtained performance authorization for seatbelt webbing from Volkswagen and Ford
- 2016
- Obtained TS16949 certificate for seatbelt webbing production.
- 2018
- Obtained IATF16949 certificate for seatbelt webbing production.
